Corporate agriculture is taking over organic.Its becoming big business.  Sales exceed some $60 billion annually and  are growing at a rate more than double  that of conventional food. Is it any wonder then  that organic standards are under constant threat.    
I tip my hat to Dave Chapman who has led the fight against the emasculation of organic. He has founded  the Real Organic Project which unifies family  farmers nationwide, who honor the life force, the vivacity in  their soil, plants and animals.
We make some suggestions as to how Dave can continue to grow the Real Organic Project to national stature.

We are delighted to bring you Ben with Growveg. Out of the depths of winter he guides us in planning a garden for the coming  season. He prepares 4 raised beds packed with veggies. The first is of peas and beans accompanied by spinach. The second consists of some wonderful varieties of potatoes. The third is of salad greens including radish, lettuce, arugula and beets grown for their greens. The fourth  consists of some heat loving plants including zucchini and tomatoes. He surrounds  them some with companions including parsley and basil.

This is so true-just look at the faces in the streets-the lack of vitality and energy is all too evident. One tragic indicator is that it is forecast that by the year 2030 half the population will be obese.

It is sad that so little is being done by way of prevention although as Dr. Chu points out, prevention is infinitely more valuable than treatment. No doubt there is a health crisis in America. He goes on to  makes some  constructive and helpful suggestions as how to turn the situation around.
