Video: Gravenstein Apple, Seckel Pear, Cucumber and Kale Juice Followed by Thoughts on Health Care

Dear brothers and sisters,

We begin with a glass of apple, pear, cucumber and kale juice and go on to ponder medical care.

It is evident that Americans spend more on healthcare than any other nation, this is something like 18% of gross domestic product, yet the US is ranked last in terms of quality of care. Indeed doctors are the third leading cause of death. According to the Commonwealth Funds International Health Care Performance Report the US has the lowest access to health care, the worst administrative efficiency and the poorest health outcomes. Several investigations have concluded conventional medicine in general, and medical errors in particular, among the leading causes of death in the in the US.

We then present a most informative talk on breast cancer by  Kristi Funk, MD and Fellow,American College of Surgeons. She tells women how to choose diets that minimize the risk.

We follow with recipe on healthy biscotti exuberant with almonds and oats.

Then there is an urgent plea  by Jeffrey Smith not to release genetically modified microbes. In the past, the number of GMOs was rather small but with gene editing we have a new form of creating genetically engineered crops. It is cheap and it is easy. The number of gmos that can be introduced not only into our food supply but into the environment can be “catastrophically large”. Moreover, when you release a GMO you cannot recall it from the environment.

On a lighter note, Jenna with Growfully, vivaciously walks us through gardening tasks for August and September.

Then Matt with Quantum Martial Arts tells us how you can get better with age in defending yourself.

Please accept out best wishes for good health, prosperity and success to you and your family,
