Video: A Drink for These Times

Dear brothers and sisters,

In 1960 H.E. Kirschner M.D., a physician in southern California published a slender volume, “Nature's Healing Grasses.” In our opinion, it is a California classic. It has gone through many printings and it's available on Amazon. What Dr. Kirschner did was to blend edible wild plants including dandelion, malva, alfalfa, filigree and lambs quarter along with parsley. Using an ordinary kitchen blender, he blended them with water. He administered this green drink to his patients with dramatic results. Decades later, the live food movement took up where Dr. Kirschner left off. It is part of the living legacy that live foods have bequeathed to the world.

In this video we prepare  an almond milk base for our green drink. We then add lettuce, several types of kale, collard greens and red dandelions and give it a blend.

This is surely the drink for our times. One can feel the vitality. We urge you to give it a try.

One of the most extraordinary benefits of flax seeds is that they contain high levels of mucilage gum content. Mucilage is a gel-forming fiber that is water soluble and has incredible benefits on the intestinal tract. The mucilage can keep food in the stomach from emptying too quickly into the small intestine which can increase nutrient absorption.
