Video: The Foods Most Protective Against Cancer - By NY Times Best Selling Author Joel Fuhrman M.D.

Dear brothers and sisters,

We are delighted to present this magnificent talk by Dr. Fuhrman. There is so much we can be doing to enhance our vitality . Here at Living Tree Community we emphasize green drinks of kale, lettuce, parsley, spinach and chard. We also espouse intermittent fasting as a royal road to health.Vigorous exercise is all the more important in these times of isolation. Then there is getting together with friends and neighbors in Victory Gardens and edible schoolyards and growing at least a part of the food we eat.

We can do it! Not only can we thwart the epidemics of diabetes, cardio vascular and cancer but we can, at last, come into our heritage of vibrant good health.

New! Items For January

Pineapple Rings – Organic

New crop! Beautiful slices. What wonderful fruit salads you’ll make!

As a symbol of hospitality, the pineapple has a cultural association with the idea of—welcome—and has been used traditionally as a gift when meeting someone new in cultures all over the world.

Pineapple also has many health benefits and is loaded with calcium, potassium, fiber, and vitamin C, and is rich in manganese, a trace mineral the body uses to build bone and connective tissues.

Macadamia Nuts Whole (Hawaiian) – Alive & Organic

We are delighted to say that our Hawaiian macadamia nuts are back. Quality and flavor are superb.

Macadamia nuts contain a significant level of protein, comprising essential and non-essential amino acids.
Our macadamias are crisp, fresh and alive!

Buckwheat Groats - Alive & Organic

Buckwheat Groats are buckwheat seeds that have been hulled. Subtly flavored when raw, buckwheat develops an earthly, nutty taste when roasted, long used as a tasty cereal-type grain called kasha.

This gluten-free grain can be substituted for wheat, oats, rye or barley. You may also grind it into a flour to use in buckwheat pancakes or combine with wheat flour to use in baked goods.

Macadamia Oil (American Grown) – Alive and Organic

Back in stock after a lengthy absence!

This macadamia oil is produced from macadamia nuts grown by family farmers. The trees thrive in the luxurious fertile soil of the isle of Kona, Hawaii.

Imparts a smooth, nutty flavor to foods. It is quite shelf stable. Has a distinct, inviting nutty aroma. Use macadamia oil for salad dressings, light sauteeing and stir frying – anything you’d normally use olive oil for.

Golden Flax Seed Oil – Alive and Organic

Back in stock!

This Cold-Pressed oil has a delightfully nutty, buttery flavor. We think you’ll agree that it’s the best tasting flax oil. Rich in Omega-3 and Omega-6.

Flax lignans are phytonutrients found in unrefined grains, legumes, certain vegetables and seeds. Flax is the richest source of lignans, providing more lignans than most other plant sources. Flax lignan is one of the hottest natural health ingredients in the market place. Flax has been valued for centuries for its good flavor and nutritional properties.
