Video: Out of the Depths - A Victory Garden!

Dear brothers and sisters,

Out of the depths of winter what else is there to do but plant a Victory Garden! We begin with lettuce of course. We favor Romaine varieties as they do well in cool weather. There's Winter Density an old time English variety and Salvius from Johnnys Selected Seeds in Maine. Merveille Des Quatre Saisons, a centuries-old French heirloom produces elegant ruffles that deepen from green to crimson red.

Then we go on to kale one of the moist nutrient dense of vegetables. We plant Thousandhead and Red Ursa from Baker Creek Heirloom seeds. Then Winter Bloomsdale a classic America spinach. Boldor is a golden beet we grow for its delicious, bright green tops and conclude with Charbell, an elegant Swiss chard.

After watering and covering with a damp towel, will keep indoors and water daily. As soon as the seeds germinate its important to put the seed flat in direct sunlight-either a south facing window, cold frame or greenhouse.

America the Almonds are blossoming! In California’s Central Valley is a sea of white! Imagine mile upon mile of blossoms. This ethereal splendor out of the cold and wet. There is yet so much hope!

In celebration we're launching a week long sale:-
15% off - almond butter, almond oil, almond flour, almonds and chocolate covered almonds.

We follow with a delightful recipe for baked sweet potatoes with almond butter, banana and chia.

Then there is an insightful video from New Zealand on the epidemic of obesity. The problem seems to be worldwide. Over 100 million Amercans are obese.Tragically enough it is a gateway to diabetes and cardiovascular disease.

We conclude with video showing how seniors can improve their balance.

Please accept our best wishes to you and family for vibrant good health, prosperity and success,
