Video: Out of the Depths, Let’s Get Growin’ America!

Dear brothers and sisters,

Average American life expectancy has fallen from 77 years to 76.4 years. This was where it was at in 1996. In other words, life expectancy has fallen  to the lowest level seen in 26 years.  All of the health advances in the past quarter century seem to have made no difference as far as longevity. While other nations are seeing a rebound since the pandemic, we have a decline. We have the lowest life expectancy among comparable nations-  at the top  we have Japan Switzerland, Australia, France, Sweden and ranking 12th, at the bottom is the US.

Since there is not much talk of prevention these days, we felt compelled to outline a 7 step program to strengthen your  immune system including organic salad greens, green drinks, fasting and vigorous exercise.

We conclude with a planting, even in the depths of winter, as an expression of our solidarity with the Greatest Generation who planted over 21 million Victory Gardens during the second world war.

Your comments would be appreciated.

We follow with a video by Joel Fuhrman MD on the deleterious effects of being overweight.

Then there is a recipe on Pistachio Five Spice Macaroons.

Next Tracy Lockwood Beckerman, a vivacious dietitian in NYC, gives a  rousing talk on the benefits of eating wheatgrass.

We follow with beavers building a dam, an  intimation of the wonders wrought by perseverance and tenacity.

Our Special this week is alive, organic walnut butter at a savings of $5.00 per jar.

We invite you to ponder our Greek style California olive oil and to rejoice in our January Victory Garden Sale.

May we wish you and family vibrant good health, prosperity and success,

With appreciation and respect,

Living Tree Community Foods Organic Walnut Butter is created in Berkeley, California from raw organic walnuts grown by American family farmers. We make it by slicing raw walnuts into a luxurious spread then seasoning it with a little Royal Himalayan Pink Crystal Salt. Try it on apple slices or carrot sticks, with some raisins and honey drizzled on top.

In our proprietary process, we make the walnut butter slowly, over several days. We slice the walnuts and never grind. This preserves the flavors and properties of the raw walnuts. We make it frequently, in small batches, so it’s fresh and alive.
