Video: Corn Chowder - Alive and Organic, Of Course!

Dear brothers and sisters,

We rejoice with the abundance of sweetcorn at this time of year to make a corn chowder-alive and organic. We  combine corn with kale ,green pepper, beets ,carrots, garlic, tomatoes ,an avocado and cucumber and then  almond butter and walnut butter to give it depth of flavor and a nutritional boost and cashew butter for creamy smoothness. We give these a whirl in our food processor and voila’ - a rich and delicious chowder!

We offer this week $2 off our filled chocolate bars including our Almond Butter Chocolate Bar, our Walnut Butter Chocolate Bar and our Berry Filled Chocolate Bar.

Then Ben, our favorite gardener, affirms that its still not too late to plant in September. He begins with mizuna an Asian salad green and, of course, mustard greens. These leafy lovelies are simple to grow. Then there is mache or corn salad and Miner’s Lettuce. Be sure to include radish and turnips both for their roots and leafy tops. They germinate readily even in cool weather.

Our  Victory Garden Sale, this month of September, includes Zinc Cantata, Selenium Sonata, Hazelnut Chocolate Almond Butter and Sliced Almonds. These are offered at 10% off.

Next, Michael Behe, a professor of biology at Lehigh University, discusses the mystery of biological information. He tells us how the information in our DNA is stored as a sequence of four chemicals arranged like letters in a book. There is  extraordinary amount of information here. It is the coding of life.We can only stand by in awe and wonder.  It is inconceivable how this extraordinary coding could have arisen from the Darwinian mechanism of random variation and natural selection.

Finally, Bob and Brad, the two most popular physical therapists, on the web, show you how to  improve your walking and at the same time heighten your overall health and vitality.

May we wish you and family an alive, organic  summer of good health, prosperity and success,

80% of the world’s almonds are grown in California’s Central Valley. It is bounded to the east by the towering Sierras and to the west by the coastal mountain range. Its rich, alluvial soil is wondrously fertile. This great plain is a sea of white in February, when the almonds blossom. The orchards are irrigated by water from melting snow high in the Sierras.
