Video: Mediterranean Salad with Sun-dried Olives and Greek Heritage Olive Oil

Dear brothers and sisters,

What better complement  to these August days then an alive, organic Mediterranean salad. We rejoice with lettuce and kale, tomatoes, green peppers and red onions. We add our sundried, pitted olives. They are produced by the Makela farming family of 10 generations; they arrived in California in 1778. In 1855, their great, great grandfather, Jules Goux, planted the first commercial olive grove. We then add our Greek Heritage Olive Oil produced by the Pollit family. Not only do they cultivate a considerable acreage but they make their olive oil right on their farm!

Living Tree Community Foods Organic Blue Cornmeal is grown in New Mexico and stone-milled from whole corn in Burlington Washington. Established in 1974, the mill is a small family-run ethical business. This cornmeal, which is GMO-free, has a wide range of particle sizes, coarse to fine, mixed together and unsifted.
