Video: Come Alive with Green Pea Hummus

Dear brothers and sisters,

Our pleasure to guide you in making Green Pea Humus.

We begin begin by adding a heaping tablespoon of  organic almond butter to a cup of spring water and blend. Voila’ it flashes into almond milk; then in a blender we  add a cup of cooked chickpeas, a cup of green peas, a clove of garlic, a third of a cup of our Alive, Organic Tahini, 2 tablespoons of our California  Greek Heritage Olive Oil, high in polyphenols, 3 tablespoons of lemon juice and a half tablespoon of Royal Himalayan Pink Crystal Salt to elicit the flavors. We blend adding the almond milk by eye to create a creamy, smooth  texture.

And that's all. Try it on bread, potatoes, celery sticks and apple slices. Add it to salad dressings, smoothies and as a topping on casseroles. The green peas lend a wonderful, vibrant color. Your family and friends will love it.

Then Anna, a delightful young woman, takes us on a tour of her intensive garden. We hope that this will inspire you in your own backyard, victory garden efforts.

Next we present a recipe for walnut cookies. The ingredients include almond flour and walnut butter.

We are pleased to put our sun-dried, pitted olives on sale this week - just the thing for backpacking in the High Sierras or lesser trips as well.

Next, Rick Stone with Stony Acres Garden tells us of crops we can still plant in June; this includes summer squash and cucumbers as well as tomatoes, peppers and eggplant. These  latter should be transplanted from starts.

Finally, Will Harlow tells us of ways to reverse the natural muscle loss which occurs with aging.

It behooves us to exemplify aliveness in these times. Let us go forth, brothers and sisters and regenerate ourselves and this American earth.

May we wish you and family a vibrant summer of good health, prosperity and success,
