We celebrate the first intimations of Spring with a visit to a community farm here in Berkeley. We begin by adding vegetable scraps from our kitchen to their compost pile. Then to the farm store where we rejoice with collard greens, kale and Swiss chard. We note there are no prices- people simply donate whatever they feel inspired to pay. We conclude our visit by planting some heirloom lettuce starts.

A method to grow bountiful crops of potatoes used by Amish families for generations is presented. It is elegant in its simplicity.

Next, Regina shows how easy it is to make sauerkraut, a combination of shredded cabbage and salt.

Then, a step-by-step morning routine is presented that may help to slow brain aging, restore balance, lower disease risk and promote health and vitality.

Finally, Richard Feynman, a master of contemporary physics guides us in appreciating the genius of James Clarke Maxwell. He conceptualized the unity of electricity, magnetism, and light. This helps us to achieve a deeper appreciation of  the wonder and mystery of the world in which we live.
