First, Irene the Coco Queen leads us exuberantly in creating an alive, apple pie. For the crust, she combines ground flax seeds, oat flakes, walnuts, cinnamon, nutmeg and cloves. For the filling, she grinds apples and date pieces and flavors with cinnamon, nutmeg and cloves. After few hours in the freezer, Voila’!, a raw apple pie.

Then Ben, our favorite gardener, shows us how to make spirals of seed starts. Just the thing for a bouquet of early salad greens including lettuce, endive, parsley and kale. Get growing, my dear brothers and sisters.
