Video: A Green Drink to Celebrate the Exuberance of Spring

My dear brothers and sisters,

We take much pleasure in bringing you a green drink in celebration of the ebullience and the exuberance of Spring. Green Drinks are part of the living legacy of the Raw Food Movement; we have found them to be both enlivening and healing.

Usually we start with spring water but now we use a combination of fresh carrot  and orange juice. With that as our liquid base we blend in some dandelion greens  looking so exuberant that they seem to want to get up and walk down the street, then some Romain lettuce, one of our favorites and then some celery sticks chopped up, a magnificent kale and an avocado for bliss.

We drink a toast to you, my  friends, who will one day restore Hetch Hetchy, the great valley parallel to Yosemite and now submerged under water. One day you will restore the buffalo to the Great Plains and get on with the reforestation of this great land. Moreover, you will transform the deserts of the southwest into oases exuberant in trees, flowering shrubs and grasses and abounding in wildlife. This is a task for your generation and we know that you will come through. Please watch the video; your comments and suggestions are gold.

Then Alden Wick reviews the findings that seem to indicate that endocrine-disrupting chemicals (EDCs) contribute to reproductive disorders, cancer, diabetes, obesity, heart disease, neurological conditions, reduced immune function, chronic inflammation and other serious health conditions. Research shows these chemicals to be especially dangerous to pregnant women and to children.

We conclude with Bob and Brad, the most popular physical therapists on the web. They present five stretches that they urge seniors to do daily to maintain their mobility and independence for years to come.

May we wish you and family a springtime of good health, prosperity and success,

A new report makes the strong case that a class of industrial chemicals called endocrine disruptors are behind many diseases on the rise globally. The report calls for stronger global regulations controlling their use and release into the environment.

A joint effort by the Endocrine Society and the IPEN, the report includes fresh research from the past decade documenting evidence that endocrine-disrupting chemicals (EDCs) contribute to reproductive disorders, cancer, diabetes, obesity, heart disease, neurological conditions, reduced immune function, chronic inflammation and other serious health conditions.

Research shows the chemicals to be especially dangerous to pregnant women and to children.

Endocrine disruptors interfere with natural human hormones and disrupt the smooth functioning of the endocrine system, which governs everything from fetal development and fertility to skin appearance, metabolism and immune function. Some endocrine-related disorders can lead to death.
