Video: Dance with the Compost, Rejoice with the Plants! A Berkeley Community Garden Contata

Dear brothers and sisters,

We begin by bringing “gold” to our community garden. That’s right - the banana peels, carrot tops, apple cores and avocado peels that we saved in a bucket in our kitchen are “gold”. They are the makings of a vibrant compost.  We go on to transplant some heirloom lettuce that we started weeks before, into a raised bed. We then rejoice in the vibrant greens in the farm store and notice something curious-there are no prices. You simply give a donation for the veggies and fruits; the amount is up you.

We can help but think- what if every town in America was blessed with a community garden!

May we wish you and family a delightful summer of good health, prosperity and success,
