Living Tree Community Foods organic wild rice is grown on a small family farm outside of Mt. Angel, Oregon. It is the same high-quality Wild Rice in broken pieces. Wild rice is high in protein, low in fat and is one of the most nutritious whole grains available. Delicious in stuffing, as a side dish, or featured in a cold salad.

Wild rice is an aquatic grass seed in the cereal grain family and is one of the most nutritious whole grains available. Its properties are much like oats and wheat.

The Ruef family-built dikes on 50 acres of flood-prone clay soil in which they now successfully grow our vivacious and vibrant Organic Wild Rice. The rice is also processed on the farm. The Ruef family strives to make their farm as sustainable as possible through diversification; using available biological and natural resources; and using water effectively.

Country of Origin: USA

Packaged in a facility that processes tree nuts. We are a peanut free facility.

Karen

Last night we ate the wild rice. I did soak it overnight and cooked it for about 15 minutes. It was delicious! The evening before we had the red quinoa, again so delicious.
