Living Tree Community Foods organic goji berries are versatile and can be eaten dried, added to soups, smoothies, salads and rice dishes, or can be boiled to make a powerful herbal tea.

The Goji berry, also known as the Wolfberry, originates in China. There, a Wolfberry festival is held each year in August to celebrate the harvest. The berries grow in protected valleys in both wild and cultivated areas. The plants grow like bushes with vines that reach over 15 feet. They are never touched by hand as they will oxidize and turn black if touched while fresh. They are shaken onto mats and then dried in the shade. The goji berry is a deep-red, dried fruit about the same size as a raisin. It tastes somewhat like a cross between a cranberry and a cherry.

Country of Origin: China

Packaged in a facility that processes tree nuts. We are a peanut free facility.

I recently read about how much nutrition these things have. Having never tasted them, I rolled the dice and ordered them. I love them. I'm still researching the many ways to enjoy these.
