David Wolfe visits the Plant in Bali where our Cacao Powder and Cacao Butter are made.

We are delighted to bring you this alive cacao powder from Bali. Cacao beans are the source for all Chocolate and Cocoa products.

Cacao is incredibly rich in Magnesium and is most likely the number one source for this essential mineral. Other essential minerals present in Cacao are Calcium, Zinc, Iron, Copper, Sulfur, Magnesium and Potassium. The bean also contains more antioxidant flavanoids than any other food tested – including blueberries, red wine and green tea.

Cacao contains many chemicals that enhance physical and mental well-being, including alkaloids, proteins, magnesium, beta-carotene, leucine, linoleic acid, lipase, lysine, and some neurotransmitters such as dopamine and anandamide.

Add it to smoothies. Imagine sprinkling it on a fruit salad of sliced peaches, bananas, mangoes and strawberries!

Our alive, organic cacao is never heated above 118 F.

Chocolate Almond Milk

  • Add to a blender 2 tbs of Living Tree alive almond butter and two cups spring water.
  • Blend and watch it flash into almond milk.
  • Add 2 tbs cacao powder and Living Tree Snugglespoon honey to taste.
  • Blend!

“Dairy-Free Chocolate Pudding Pops” Recipe

Makes 5 or 6 pops (4-ounces, each)

1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
2 tsp pure vanilla extract
1/3 cup raw honey
2 small ripe avocados (about 12 ounces total, weighed whole)
2 medium ripe bananas
3/4 cup + 1/8 cup water

Place ingredients into a blender in the order listed above. Blend on high until batter is smooth, stopping to plunge the ingredients as necessary. Pour into popsicle molds, and place in freezer until solid – about 8 hours. Run a bit of warm water over the molds to ease removal if necessary. Enjoy!

    I just wanted to say, I love your products, company, and ideals! I have been ordering from you since the discovery of your almond butter, but have yet to express my utter delight! Your new cranberry chocolate bar is perfect. Please keep it around, as it definitely my fave of any you’ve created! Your almond butter is also perfection. The cranberry chocolate bar, dipped in almond butter, is pretty close to bliss(just so you know). The Bali sun-dried cashews are the best for culturing up cashew yogurt/sour cream. The cacao butter and powder are amazing… Ill stop gushing now, but I’m so pleased I have reason to! Thank you so much for offering REAL FOOD!!
