Video: Synthetic Biology and the Foundations of Existence: A Talk with Dana Perls

Dear brothers and sisters,

Mechanistic science has descended to a new level with its new found ability to alter the genetic code of plants, insects, animals and even people. There is little or no regulation or control. Your heritage in the foundation of creation, the wellsprings of existence, is being privatized for ends, the most narrow, linear, crass and mundane. The profound peril and danger is being brushed aside. Fortunately, people such as Dana Perls have to the fore, awakening people to the peril. It was our privilege to catch up with her in Berkeley and we are delighted to share with you her knowledge and wisdom.

With best wishes for good health, prosperity and success to you and family,

Essay Contest – Darwin’s Doubts

Dear brothers and sisters,

The hypothesis advanced by Darwin that life evolves by chance from earlier forms and that survival is conditioned by the struggle for existence is being increasingly challenged. It seems that the fossil evidence does not support his view. Indeed Darwin, a man of utmost integrity, expressed his doubts. A lot is at stake here; go on to any campus and ask the first person you see as to how they conceptualize the origin of life and differentiation into species and they will answer “Darwin”. The concept that we have evolved by chance from a monkey, an ape or some such thing leads to a particularly bleak outlook, barren of spirit where the only reality is the accretion of things. Indeed such a view reflects the moral and spiritual lunarscape of the times in which we live.

Here are some leading and well reasoned videos; we invite you to review them. Make your reply into a video. We will award the most alive and organic essayist with a gift certificate for purchasing $150 of our foods. The contest ends October 4th.

Please send me a link to your video. Thank you.
With appreciation,

Addiction to technology is creating digital slaves who can’t think for themselves

(Natural News) It would amaze you to know that a lot of people nowadays are turning to the Internet for answers to life’s simplest questions; then again, maybe not, maybe you’re doing it yourself.

According to Mountain View, California-based multinational tech company Google, people from around the world have been asking for instructions on seemingly self-evident things such as how to or how not to get pregnant, how to make a toast, and even how to kiss.

“We have become so independent on offloading, on relieving our brains from keeping certain basic, human information in storage, that we’ve forgotten to do some fairly basic grown up tasks,” researchers at Google’s News Lab said.
